I started by creating Zack in Zbrush. it was harder than I thought since I decided to create a character with emotion on his face, however, I kept on going and created something I did not like in Zbrush as shown in the images above and below. I kept sculpting and decided to move the sculpted face to Maya as I had the base of the characters head. I then decided to move some vertices around and create the right shape for me. I started using the retopology Technique that I learnt from my previous tutorial. After that, I decided to create the body in Zbrush and kept going back and forth with Maya getting the character I wanted.
Already knowing how I wanted the character to pose, I imported the weapon I created and modelled it in the characters hand. I then used the vertices' and placed the hand making the character look like he is holding the object. (Fig. 111)
I started creating the model from top to bottom, thus I was almost completed with the model as I only had to model the shoes which were one of the hardest things to do for me. This is because I did not know how to create laces. I decided to go to Zbrush for the laces however I felt more comfortable using Maya to extrude the face of an object into a lace, which was successful. (Fig. 111)
