Personal Studies - Color Grading

Fig.1 - Improving Color Grading

Following what I said on my last blog in expanding my resources other than canvas, I was able to find some references from youtube and people. Following the workshops I have been doing I decided to look at my notes and follow the steps written, however, I decided to add more effects as shown in the image above. I followed the tutorial and used nodes that went well with my scene. I was failing at colour grading because I did not know what to select and forgot how to use the settings. Thankfully I used the notes from my other blogs and was able to use the nodes properly.

In conclusion, I felt more comfortable with Nuke as I compared my notes with other sources like youtube. Going through this I was able to understand that everyone has a different approach when using nodes. For example; I would be very cautious when choosing a colour that fits the percentage for the mise-en-scene, however looking at their perspective they chose the colour that they see fit for the scene than just following numbers, which opened my mind and helped me enhance the scene and the same for my skills with Nuke.
