Fig.1 - Retopology

Retopology was an interesting thing to learn today. Looking through the tutorials this is what I was dodging to do, as it seemed complicated. However, after being introduced it is simpler than I thought it would be. I used my Kimpossible model with an incomplete head to learn retopology. I was able to learn the keys such as; shift and dragging, extruding the edges and mainly using the magnet to stick to the original object. Going through it I realised how time-consuming it could be and learnt how easy it is to tackle retopology, by aiming for the bumps in the model and connecting the squares after. So instead I decided to only focus on the nose as shown in "Fig.2" and mirrored the nose (Fig.3), which would also be done with the whole model. What I would do next is work on a defined face to get deeper in retopology. Other than that I understood the workflow and how it works, which would be useful for the future.
