Creating Hardsurface: Vehicle

Fig.1 - Creating Trolley

Creating the Trolley was an intriguing process. I decided to create this for my hard surface object as it seemed more complex which challenged me a lot. I decided to create planes to see what I am modelling. I decided not to use Zbrush as I felt more comfortable using Maya to create a hard surface.

There is not much to say than I have created a 3D model from a 2D cartoon as shown in the "figures." The most challenging thing I created was the ropes as it was hard for me to create a tied up rope. I used the Curve tool and placed the vertices how a rope would be tied and extruded a face of a tube which resulted in a rope. I spent a lot of time perfecting the rope and got there at the end.

I thought this was a success, this is because the object looks exactly like the 2d image and it would be exciting to see how it would be textured in the future. I am happy with the process as I was able to model this plane in half a day.
