Fig.1 - Blur |
Most of the lesson we were catching up and progressing in our final project. In the middle of the lesson we learnt about rendering in Maya and Nuke. I was once more introduced to the graph editor to add some influence to the object. Going through the process I was not comfortable with the graph editor as I was used to using the options in the attribute editor. However, going through it I started to understand the mechanic and how useful and faster it could be. After completing the graph editor, I used the Gamma rays and other attributes to enhance the colour of the object (shown below in Figures 3 and 4). I then proceeded to render from Maya using the settings to improve the quality and make it less grainy.
Afterwards, we were introduced to the render setting and added a blur effect in Maya as shown above. Which was then brought into Nuke where we used the 'Vector blur' to enhance the bur. At the end of the class, I was able to do some personal studies such as the depth of field in Maya. which I thought went well. I was able to understand how to use the attributes from the camera to focus on and off an object (shown in figure 5).
At the end of the day, I thought this went well as I was exposed to learning more things about Maya rendering and motion blur, which I look forward to using in my final.
